Where I am and where you are…

More and more friends are jumping on Google Latitude.

A lot of people are a little weirded out by Google Latitude because it uses your mobile device or PC to pinpoint exactly where you are at any point in time, down to within a few blocks. As my friend Mr. Van B said, it's a bit Big Brotherish.
Then again...everything is relative. I mean, ten years ago people weren't posting their bowel movements and romantic escapades on public profiles and blogs. So people knowing my location at any point in time is relatively harmless when you compare it to the other stuff that's out there. Plus, it's a personal choice to make it public, no one is pressuring anyone to make their location public.
That said, I think it would be awesome if more of you jumped on Google Latitude :) I mean...look how freaking cool this is...
I'm the guy at the top right...way up there aligned with Greenland...near the North Pole. You can even zoom in to exactly where I am.
Technology is fascinating.

Key information to be aware of…

Key dates:

  • July 15th: Leave for Europe on vacation with Navin, Bucky, Jenny, JT, Jamie, Kathryn, and Britt
  • July 16th - August 2nd: Travel around Provence with the folks above. Including a two-night stay in Montpellier.
  • August 2nd: Following the departure of the folks above, I hop on a plane and go to Stockholm.
  • August 4th: Start the new gig as the CRM Strategy and Analytics Manager for Battlefield Heroes.
